Can the GB4000 be used as a Zapper?
Posted by Martha Schyberg on 17 October 2009 07:43 AM

By popular demand we have a "Zapper Model" of the GB4000 so to speak.

This is the "Positive Offset" version of the GB4000 and it's an option that must be chosen at the time of purchase (and can but doesn't always add a few days delay to the shipment). This should be specified in the notes when the order is place online or verbally if placed on the phone.

The Positive Offset model should be set to "Audio" mode (rather than RF mode) and it will put out a signal much like that of a zapper but you can control the specific frequency if you just want to run one frequency, or you can run any program (or a custom program of specific frequencies you choose), or you can even run a sweep where you cover a full range between two specific frequencies.

The fact that most zapper frequencies are not in the audio range might make this seem strange to set the GB4000 in "Audio" mode but all this does is turn the RF Carrier Wave off. The Positive Offset GB4000 model is also configured to deliver the frequencies with the wave offset only when it is in the "Audio" mode while the carrier is off. The actual range of frequencies is not limited to the audio range.

Send me more questions through if you've got any. You'll get a personal response from me and if it makes sense to I'll add it up here too.
